Slumped Wine Bottles

I've been firing slumped bottles for a couple of years now...I simply CAREFULLY clean them very well with hot water and soap, goo gone and a razor blade. Next I load them onto fire thin paper. Switch the kiln on and let them melt down. Then i clean them, bead them with glass beads and tie on a cheese spreader. They sell for $20.00 and can be used as a cream cheese spread dish, candle tray, spoon rest, or wall decor. It's the most awesome gift purchase ever! The bottles come in various colors but my most popular is cobalt blue bottles. I always feel good about creating art out of recylable products!

Christmas Made in The South 2007

So this 2007 Christmas Made in the South Augusta, GA came alittle early this year. None the Less, it was a great show with a few really talented people and wonderful artists. I had a slew of new items for sale, including various sizes of glass masks and large glass faces. It was exciting to see how much everyone enjoyed my work. I had no idea that things would be appreciated as much as they were by some. People always suprise me. I am looking forward to Magnolia Market Days Hosted by the Junior League of Dekalb. It will be held 9:00-6:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday the 2 and 3 of November. Hope to see you there!
